Implicit Social Cognition in Autism Spectrum Conditions
Meng-Chuan Lai, Mike Lombardo, Bhismadev Chakrabarti, Renate van de Ven, Sally Wheelwright, Simon Baron-Cohen

People with ASC have atypical social cognitive processing, characterised by hypo-empathising and hyper-systemising. This project aims to examine how these characters correlate with their social cognition in daily lives, especially on attitudes and stereotypes. We will apply a range of behavioural tasks and psychophysiological measurements to investigate the implicit social cognition in people with ASC. If you are aged over 18, have a formal diagnosis of Asperger Syndrome or high functioning autism and are interested in participating in this project, please contact Dr. Meng-Chuan Lai for further inquiry.
